Building Inclusive and Equitable Syllabi and Assignments

For many, the syllabus, that welcome email or the D2L news feed will be your students’ first introduction to our course. As academicians we can have blind spots in our practices that create micro-barriers to our students’ success. In this workshop, Dr. Catherine Polydore explores what it means to be inclusive and equitable, discusses inclusive and equitable pedagogy, and what they look like in the syllabus and various assignments.
